In the more recent articles I had been writing about the nature of the cosmos. How it is born from a wound within early childhood. The nature of archetypes, the masks of deities and myth, and their function. Ending this all in a final reflection on the Nyktelic cosmos, pointing to the Ur-trinity, soul-field and the cosmoi that are born from that.
Yet as I had today mentioned to someone I talked to, the cosmos is the conceptual frame of reality. It's not the universe, material existence, and a projection over it. A blend of myth, archetype, language, and meaning-making that overlays actual raw experience. But also, pointing to reality, as its not detached from material existence either. There's both the finger (the frame), the act of pointing (process) and the moon (the thing itself). But we can't confuse the moon with the finger or the act of pointing.
Yet even if you see through all illusions. Things go back to how they were. You live within the world, in the cosmos of narrative. The only difference is that you are not caught in it. The only real question is this. Do you want to be free from the suffering of playing the roles within the cosmos. Is there suffering within it for you. If yes, then it is worth pursuing the path. If not, and you are honest with yourself, and try to be aware of your shadow to some degree. Let yourself be a human. Without any big spiritual quest. That too is valid. It would be honestly weird to say to you or anyone that they have to become enlightened. At any cost.
Yet, what I feel is that trying to go on an entire quest to liberate others, is itself potentially misguided. Mostly as it creates conditions that are not skilful.
A) it creates a dependency on a figure, that becomes seen as "spiritual guru"
B) it traps them from realising they are what they seek. And thus their own true nature.
C) it can reinforce the cosmos (frame), even if switched. Becoming just another trap.
D) Much of it can become trauma loops with incense.
That is the thing about the spiritual path, or even any philosophical path, in their true ancient sense, it is a means to a state of being. Not an end in itself. A cocoon or vessel that can both birth one into liberation, or become a new trap. Similarly, for me as well, the framework I used, and have written about, also for me served its purpose. Yet the true goal, is to be alive, to love, to dance, to be in relation with the world.
Too often the spiritual path can become framed as a means of escape. Yet the entire point of it isnโt asceticism, or becoming more โpure.โ It is to become more whole, without clinging to a single role as โyou.โ To give your inner child the freedom to be messy, human, eyes filled with tears, to feel wonder about a flower, or be silly and look at a fly with humour, at how it rubs its legs. To sit with a friend you care deeply about and stay present with them, even if they are not doing well. Not to fix them, try to make it go away, but to see them in their wholeness. Which includes their tears, their grief, their longing for their soul to be seen. Not just their roles. It are these acts, that are most sacred, and most spiritual in their humanness.
So if you are reading this, and are tired of the spiritual seeking. The exploration of various paths, frameworks, and teachers. I invite you to listen to the most sacred of all teachers. Your inner child, your body, presence, embodiment, relational safety, and finally your own trauma loops. The last one, as it are the patterns you are trapped in, that are your true teachers. They teach you to see through illusions, if you are willing to listen to them, and your inner child.
Yet this is not just about facing your trauma loops constantly, or sit in cycles of grief. This can also mean to get that plushie if your inner child needs that. A plushie might be more healing than a teaching. To let yourself enjoy things, to feel joy, to cry about what touches your soul. To go to the one special person you deeply care about, and give them a hug. To witness yourself gently. To take care of yourself, and nurture your inner flame. As it is the most spiritual thing you can do, much more than theorizing about the nature of existence. Which through the intellect can keep one trapped in thinking and away from reality and the body.
You already are existence and being. To learn a framework, is for it to serve as your vessel of transformation. The container that can hold you in the process, and helps your inner child feel held through it. So the slow unmasking, and emptying of ego defences, does not lead to ones inner child receding and becoming terrified. However this is not about endless rumination or intellectualising about ideas. It is to gently see through all roles you were ever forced to play. So you can be just-so, as the being you are, and not the doing you were taught to play.
Gently feed your flame, so you can sustain it. Burn too hot, and it might go out.
