Culture War.exe: The Kronos Program Running On Empty
When capitalism.exe crashes the serotonin drivers
In the midst of today’s culture wars, something feels deeply wrong. The ideological battle lines are drawn, the stakes are high, and yet, no one seems to be winning. It’s like we’re all trapped in a malfunctioning program, endlessly rebooting with no real resolution. What if I told you that this battle is not just an accidental clash of beliefs, but a systemic failure, one that is running on outdated software? "You may have felt it already, the fatigue of endless arguments that don’t go anywhere. The sense that no one is really listening, just reacting. That’s Kronos.exe keeping the loop running. Yeah, that tired-to-the-bone feeling after scrolling through 37 hot takes about something you didn’t even care about until five minutes ago? That’s Kronos.exe eating your RAM. Which also boots that one weird app called ‘WhyAmICringe.exe’ that opens at 3am when you’re trying to sleep.
In the previous article I translated the Operating System of the Soul from esoteric and depth psychological language into tech language. To bridge the symbolic and logical brain language bridge. I wrote about the Nyx as our OS Kernel, with us running on Phanes OS. Where Kronos.exe messes up our source code of the OS. It’s like the Culture War is a cursed Tumblr post from 2013 that refuses to close.
If you missed Part One: don’t worry. TL;DR: your soul’s basically a divine hard drive running on ancient myth-code and vibes. Phanes saying: Hey, your OS is crashing because it’s running code from the Bronze Age on a soul-level motherboard that was never meant to support this many TikToks.
Yet as much as we have our individual operating system, we are as Carl Jung wrote connected to the Collective Unconscious. Which is like the internet of humanity. Which is transmitted, through stories, narrative and the like, but is also a result of our shared Phanes OS, which has its original Pantheon.sys installed of Functional Data Clusters. So the inner archetypes, tied to human instinct that runs human behaviour and desire. I am lately though running on a new Hermes.pak update. 🦊
Pantheon.sys is like the OG software package that came pre-installed in every human with a set of core apps, like courage, desire, nurture, rage. Each one of these instinct and emotions are an archetypal function we still feel driving us, whether or not we realize they’re running in the background. In what Jungians call the unconscious.
This is where we have to next dig into the Kronos.exe program, the ancient code running the entire operation. To understand why we’re stuck, we need to first look at the sovereignty systems that are trying to patch it together. Spoiler alert: they’re broken, outdated, and missing vital components. And without these key updates, we’re all stuck in an endless loop of cultural 404 errors. So, what’s going wrong? And more importantly, can we fix it?
Kronos.exe: The God Who Devours His Own Children
In mythology, Kronos was the god who devoured his children, fearing they would overthrow him. This is more than a cautionary tale, it’s a blueprint for how the systems of power, particularly cultural and political structures, operate today. Kronos.exe is a legacy program. It’s old, it’s rigid, and it’s terrified of change. So, it devours anything that threatens its control, even if that means consuming the very forces that are supposed to lead to its evolution. It’s giving boomer energy, scared of updates, still clinging to Windows XP while the rest of the system is trying to evolve.
Today, we see this in the way institutions, ideologies, and power structures consume their own children, the younger generations that seek change. Yet also the potential inherent within people. The cultural system that runs on Kronos.exe is terrified of the new; it cannot update its own code without collapsing. So, it works overtime to thus suppress anything that threatens the status quo. So, the cycle continues, endlessly. This program runs a repression subroutine. Like emotional pop-up blockers. To keep away emotionally unresolved issues, cognitive biases, memories in chaos, from both personal, familial and finally civilizational trauma. Cutting us of from our emotions and bodies, so we do not relate to them in a healthy way.
Sovereignty Goddess.sys: Artemis.pak
Enter Sovereignty Goddess.sys. If Kronos.exe represents the outdated power structure, then Sovereignty Goddess.sys is the emerging force that seeks to break free of these constraints. But it’s complicated. She represents one of the archetypes of the Self for women. Yet she is also a symbol of the social order of society, next to the Collective Unconscious. Which is at the root of the Phanes OS software.
One of her subroutines is Artemis.pak, an archetype that represents female autonomy, wildness, and individuation. The Greek Artemis, the huntress, has long been a symbol of independent, untamed feminine power. Her subroutine, Diana.pak, is a program designed to break through rigid patriarchal systems, the Kronos.exe, to reclaim what was lost in the ancient battles for control. But like any emerging force, it’s met with resistance. Enter the Witch subroutine, which over time evolved into Feminism.exe.
Over time, Artemis.pak splintered and recompiled, birthing new modern programs like Feminism.exe, which tried to carry her core function: reclaim sovereignty. But like all code, it’s vulnerable to distortion, especially when run in a system built by Kronos.
Bug report: instead of creating freedom and equity, Feminism.exe sometimes gets rerouted to GirlbossCapitalism. Symptoms include burnout, zero rest, and pretending iced coffee solves the patriarchy.
Feminism, in its most vital form, is the reclamation of individual sovereignty. However, over the centuries, Feminism.exe has been co-opted, misinterpreted, and misused. The program began to run without the depth of its true purpose, leading to a fractured and often misunderstood movement. Yet its core remains, the need for the individual woman to break free from the constraints of Kronos.exe. To liberate people, and lead them to autonomy and emotional freedom. Which is also hindered by the Kronos.exe, subroutines called emotional-suppression.pak and the ghostmommy.pak one. The last one is the silent background process that whispers ‘you’re too much’ every time you assert a boundary.
Jupiter.sys and the Gigachad.exe Program
On the other side of the culture war, we have Jupiter.sys, the program for masculine sovereignty. Jupiter, the king of the gods, represents power, authority, and the capacity for self-rule. This archetype is coded into the Wolf-Apollo.pak, which is the male counterpart to Artemis.pak. Wolf-Apollo.pak is a strange hybrid: on one hand, it’s a warrior spirit (Wolf), and on the other, a philosopher (Apollo). Together, they represent masculine individuation, the need for the male person to step into his power without domination or oppression. To be again in connection with body and instinct. But like Artemis, Jupiter’s real code got hijacked too. The result? A Trojan horse coded to look like strength but empty on the inside.
So, what we see in modern culture is the distortion of this archetype into something grotesque. Enter Gigachad.exe, the meme, the idealized, hyper-masculine figure that represents all that is inflated, shallow, and disconnected from the true journey of individuation. Gigachad.exe may appear strong, but he lacks depth. Gigachad.exe may look optimized, but under the hood? It's running nothing but bugs and gym selfies. Looks alpha, runs on beta code. He is the cultural shadow of the authentic male person, the projection of a distorted, idealized form of masculinity. The Gigachad.exe program is the ultimate failure of the masculine archetype to evolve, reduced to a caricature of strength and dominance. And this is what we’re seeing played out on the battlefield of the culture war. Capitalism, religion, gender, even therapy trends, these are third-party plugins, most of which come pre-installed through intergenerational trauma and cultural scripting.
Zagreus.sys, Persephone.exe, and the Missing Hermes.pak
Here’s where things get interesting. The systems designed to heal and integrate these fractured archetypes, Zagreus.sys, Persephone.exe, Hermes.pak, and Dionysus.exe are the missing keys to resolving the cultural crisis. Zagreus, the son of Persephone, is the symbol of rebirth, the journey into the underworld and back. Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, represents the cycle of death and rebirth, and also the process of transformation. Together, they form the essence of shadow integration.
But there’s a problem. Hermes.pak, the program for communication, connection, and empathy, is missing. And without Hermes, the system fails to reconcile its fractured parts. Communication is cut off; the ability to integrate the shadow, the parts of ourselves that we deny or repress, is lost. Which is a cultural blind spot, as our modern culture clings to Kronos.exe to project out onto the world. Instead of bringing the ego out of this state, and away from distractions towards the inner defrag that is needed.
Without Hermes.pak, the entire cultural system cannot evolve. It’s stuck in the loop of Kronos.exe, endlessly devouring its own children. And thus Dionysus.exe, the program for emotion, ecstasy, and chaos, remains thus lost. As without emotional depth and connection, both the masculine and the feminine are doomed to play out their own distorted shadows, without ever achieving true individuation. This cultural war might be a fight over who gets to own the narrative, but it lacks the tools to truly change or communicate. Not merely through language, but to connect emotionally. Which is also one of the main reasons that relationships fail, due to emotional disconnect.
Without Hermes.pak, we’re basically ghosting our own feelings, no DMs between heart, body, and mind. And if you’ve ever tried to fix a relationship with no real convo? Yeah. It’s that. But scaled to civilization. So there’s no diplomacy between inner parts. No therapist in the group chat. Just vibes, ghosting, and occasional internal screaming.
The 404 Error: Shadow Integration Not Found
And here we arrive at the 404 error. The program that was supposed to bring about healing, the integration of the masculine and feminine, the emotional and the rational, the autonomous and the collective, has crashed. We threw out the manual for actually knowing how to re-code the source code, and do a much needed systems reboot.
We are left with fragmented ideologies, lost connections, consumerism and a deep sense of emptiness. No one is able to find the missing code, the archetypes needed to patch the system and allow for true healing. Dionysus being “lost code” also explains so much of the numbness, addiction, and dissociation of late capitalism.

But this is where the real work begins. We cannot continue to rely on just outdated systems. The programs of Kronos.exe, Gigachad.exe, and Feminism.exe are obsolete. To fix the culture war, we need to reprogram the system. We need Hermes.pak to bring back communication. We need Dionysus.exe to reconnect with our emotions and our instinct. We need Persephone.exe and Zagreus.sys to guide us through the underworld of our collective shadow. And we need to remember that both masculine and feminine sovereignty are not about domination, they are actually about individual autonomy, healing, and integration. So we can once more restore the Sovereignty Goddess, and her husband Jupiter to their original function. Instead of an endless stand off between both, due to Kronos.exe causing OS fragmentation.
The question is: are we ready to update the code? Maybe it’s time to clear our cache, reinstall Hermes.pak, and actually talk to our inner ghosts. Or at least run a vibe check before the next reboot.
